“Whither goest thou, America, in thy shiny car….
On the Road”

Jack Kerouac.

“An evening of great entertainment: Four dance works capture the history, culture and icons that are Americana.

“Elegant, witty, emotional and smart.”

Yorke-Edgell takes her audience on a journey across America through the eyes of beat generation writer Jack Kerouac. City Limitless features a specially commissioned film based on Kerouac’s journey across the States, filmed on location by David McCormick. It gets under the skin of what it was to live at the heart of the beat scene.

A new work for the company from dance maverick Wendy Houston, Home on the Range, and Meta 4—the UK premiere from iconic US choreographer Bella Lewitzky—makes for an evening of dance created entirely by female choreographers. Yorke-Edgell also contributes an earlier work Post Etiquette to complete the programme.
